Environmental commitments: our actions in detail
Ecology is an individual process. We have chosen to follow this path and we invite you to participate in this dynamic within our establishment.
For over 26 years, we have always wanted to evolve, without compromising our daily commitment:
TO TAKE CARE OF THE LIVING!
This philosophy is combined in the present & in the future, by combining an attention of each moment towards you, our dear customers, a benevolence towards each of our employees, a partnership relationship with our suppliers and a maximum respect for the nature which surrounds us.
You wanted to know (much) more about the actions, choices and commitments of our hotel and we thank you. You will find here the exhaustive list of our environmental attentions:
ENERGY SECTOR :
- Solar panels for domestic hot water,
- Photovoltaic panels for electricity,
- Heat pumps for heating,
- New and/or class A electrical cleaning appliances,
- Flow reducer installed on each tap,
- 100% LED lighting,
- Exterior lighting limited to the strict minimum and automatically triggered,
- Two charging points for electric vehicles,
- Four electrically assisted bicycles.
RESOURCES :
- Recovery of rainwater for the swimming pool, sanitary facilities & plants,
- Unused clean water (e.g. water jugs) is recovered and reused as much as possible for watering,
- The swimming pool is never emptied because the water is treated in a closed circuit,
- Phytosanitary products are not used for outdoor maintenance and mowing is limited,
- Plantations are chosen locally and require little water,
- Use of eco-labelled and measured household products, as for the swimming pool and spa,
- Processing of fresh, local and seasonal products in the kitchen,
- Selection of organic or sustainable producers, as close as possible,
- Single-use products that are disappearing; we prefer more durable materials (water jugs and cloth tablecloths),
- The majority of hygiene products in the rooms are organic, made in the Ardèche and packaged in eco-responsible or returnable packaging,
- All waste is sorted and recycled (local waste disposal centre) or composted in the garden.
SOCIAL ASPECT:
- Adaptation of employees' schedules to better reconcile professional and family life,
- 11 annual employees on permanent contracts and full time,
- Luncheon vouchers, social benefits and above all daily exchanges to combine the best with each of our employees!
- Respected suppliers, located locally (farmers, building craftsmen, printers, architects... to support the local economy) and we are loyal to them. Their products are promoted in the shop.
And because we want to support our customers in this action, stickers are displayed in strategic places to encourage good habits. Here are a few examples... once you're there, you'll spot them!
ECO-GEST :
- Turn off the heating or air conditioning when you air your room
- Use the right amount of soap, shampoo, toilet paper & hand towels
- Keep the same sheets and towels during your stay
- Turn off lights when leaving a room and turn off standby devices
- Unplug unused chargers
- Use the glass bottles provided in the room
- Practise selective sorting by filling the bins provided for this purpose
- Think about sorting bio-waste and fill the compost bowls in the room
- Limit waste at breakfast and in the restaurant
- Favour the use of stairs
